Indian Wells: Machac overcomes Wawrinka to make second round

Tomas Machac defeated Swiss Stan Wawrinka 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-2 to reach the second round of the Indian Wells Masters at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Thursday evening.

Machac, ranked No 63, will play No 21 seed Adrian Mannarino next.
