yIndian Wells Masters: Davidovich Fokina upsets Khachanov, to meet Garin in last 16
The Spaniard upset Russian Karen Khachanov 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 on Sunday in the second round
Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 23 seed, upset Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 13 seed, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Indian Wells Masters on Sunday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 28 in the world, will face Chilean qualifier Cristian Garin next.
Ahead of his victory, the Spaniard beat Chinese wildcard Yibing Wu (6-4, 6-1).
Khachanov, ranked No 15, won against German Oscar Otte (6-3, 6-3) in the previous round of the Indian Wells Tennis Masters.
