Los Angeles will host the 10th edition of the Laver Cup in 2027, with the event to be staged at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, from September 24-26.
Intuit Dome, home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers, opened in 2024 and has since hosted the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. The venue is also set to stage basketball at the 2028 Olympic Games.
The host announcement comes ahead of this year’s ninth edition, which returns to London’s The O2 from September 25-27. The 2022 London staging produced one of the sport’s most memorable scenes, when Roger Federer ended his professional career at the event alongside great rival Rafael Nadal and fellow “Big Four” members Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.
The Laver Cup made its debut in Prague in 2017 and has since been staged in Chicago, Geneva, Boston, London, Vancouver and Berlin.
The team competition pits six of Europe’s leading men’s players against six from the rest of the world over three days on the event’s distinctive black court, and is an official part of the ATP Tour calendar.
“Los Angeles’ position as one of the world’s leading destinations”
“Los Angeles is in the middle of an extraordinary decade of hosting global sporting events and welcoming the Laver Cup adds another world-class event to that momentum,” said Kathryn Schloessman, President & CEO of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission.
“Its arrival in 2027, between the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, reinforces Los Angeles’ position as one of the world’s leading destinations for major international events and we’re looking forward to welcoming players, fans and visitors from around the world for this unique tennis competition.”
“Roger Federer’s vision was to create an event that honored Rod Laver and celebrated the very best of our sport,” said Laver Cup Chairman and TEAM8 CEO Tony Godsick, adding that the competition was built to bring the world’s best players together as teammates.
Named after Australian tennis legend Rod Laver, the event divides the game’s top men’s players into Team Europe and Team World. Ticket information for the 2027 edition is due to be released later this year, with on-sale dates, event news and player announcements to be confirmed via the tournament’s official channels.
