Lyon Open: Norrie makes final

Cameron Norrie edged out Holger Rune 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 on Friday. He’ll face Slovak Alex Molcan for the title

Top seed Cameron Norrie advanced to the final of the Lyon Open by edging out Dane Holger Rune 6-2, 5-7, 6-4 at Parc de la Tête d’or on Friday afternoon.

Norrie, ranked No 11, will face Slovak Alex Molcan for the title.

Cameron Norrie won against Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo (6-4, 6-4) and edged out Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 7 seed (6-4, 4-6, 7-5) in the previous rounds.

Earlier in the tournament, Rune, ranked No 40, defeated Arthur Rinderknech (7-6 [4], 7-6 [3]), Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (6-4, 6-3) and Frenchman qualifier Manuel Guinard (3-6, 6-3, 6-4).
