No 3 seed Alex Michelsen moved into the quarter-finals of the Mallorca Open by defeating qualifier Brandon Holt 6-4, 6-4 at Mallorca Country Club on Wednesday.
Michelsen, ranked No 33, will play the winner of the match between Australian qualifier Bernard Tomic and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 7 seed, next.
Holt, ranked No 101, edged out Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (2-6, 6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Mallorca tournament.
