Qualifier Bernard Tomic defeated wildcard Rinky Hijikata 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 to advance to the second round of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club on Tuesday.
It’s his first win on the main Tour since the 2021 Australian Open !
Tomic, ranked No 248, will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 7 seed, next.
