Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, the No 5 seed, reached the second round of the Marrakech Open by winning against Moroccan wildcard Taha Baadi 7-6 (3), 6-3 at Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Monday.
Carballes Baena, ranked No 51, will face the winner of the match between German Daniel Altmaier and Finn Otto Virtanen next.
