Italian Mattia Bellucci, the No 8 seed, advanced to the second round of the Marrakech Open by beating Russian Pavel Kotov 6-4, 6-4 at Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Tuesday.
Bellucci, ranked No 71, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian qualifier Federico Coria and French qualifier Pierre-Hugues Herbert next.
