Mexican Open: Draper gains Australian Open revenge over Paul

Jack Draper won against Tommy Paul 6-0, 6-4 on Tuesday night and will face the winner of the match between Portuguese Nuno Borges and Japanese lucky loser Yoshihito Nishioka in the next round

Jack Draper defeated American Tommy Paul, the No 7 seed, 6-0, 6-4 to reach the second round of the Mexican Open at the Princess Mundo Imperial Resort in Acapulco on Monday night.

The win sees Draper extend his head-to-head advantage over Paul to 3-1, with the American’s only win coming last month at the Australian Open.

Draper, ranked No 50, will play the winner of the match between Portuguese Nuno Borges and Japanese lucky loser Yoshihito Nishioka next.
