Miami Masters: Safiullin rules out Popyrin
Roman Safiullin edged out Alexei Popyrin 6-7 (4), 6-3, 7-5 on Saturday evening and will play Jakub Mensik in the next round

Russian Roman Safiullin reached the third round of the Miami Masters by edging out Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 25 seed, 6-7 (4), 6-3, 7-5 at the Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday. Safiullin, ranked No 71, will face Jakub Mensik next.
