Italian Lorenzo Sonego defeated Argentinian Mariano Navone 7-5, 7-5 to advance to the second round of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Thursday evening.
Sonego, ranked No 38, will play No 3 seed Taylor Fritz next.
