Monte-Carlo Masters: Sinner reaches last 16, will face Hurkacz next

Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 7 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Monte-Carlo Masters when Argentinian Diego Schwartzman retired at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Wednesday afternoon.

Sinner, ranked No 8, led 6-0, 3-1 when Schwartzman, ranked No 37, pulled out at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old Italian will face Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 10 seed, next.

The Argentinian beat Belgian David Goffin (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Monte-Carlo tournament.
