German Jan-Lennard Struff advanced to the last 16 of the Monte-Carlo Masters by beating Croat Borna Coric 7-6 (2), 6-1 at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Tuesday.
Struff, ranked No 25, will play the winner of the match between American Sebastian Korda and Italian Jannik Sinner, the second seed, next.
In the previous round of the Monte-Carlo tournament, the 33-year-old German won against Argentinian Sebastian Baez (1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2).
Coric, ranked No 33, defeated Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 16 seed (6-1, 6-1) in the first round of the Monte-Carlo tournament.
