Montpellier Open: Top seed Rune moves into semi-final

Dane Holger Rune, the top seed, defeated American Michael Mmoh 7-6 (6), 6-4 to move into the last 4 of the Montpellier Open at the Sud de France Arena on Friday evening.
Rune, ranked No 7, will face the winner of the match between Croat Borna Coric, the No 4 seed, and Italian Flavio Cobolli next, in what will be his 15th tour-level semi-final.
He has been top seed in six ATP tournaments and reached at least the semi-finals in five of them.
Ahead of his victory, the 20-year-old Dane won against Spanish qualifier Pablo Llamas Ruiz (7-5, 6-2).
Mmoh, ranked No 133, won against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (6-3, 7-5) and Frenchman Alexandre Muller, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
