Schwartzman stays perfect against Davidovich Fokina

Diego Schwartzman, the No 12 seed, advanced to the second round of the Montreal Masters by edging out Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 at Stade IGA on Tuesday night.

Schwartzman is now 4-0 lifetime against Davidovich Fokina.

The Argentine, ranked No 15, will face Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas on Wednesday. Ramos-Vinolas knocked off David Goffin in straight sets.
