Italian Luciano Darderi moved into the second round of the Munich Open by defeating Australian lucky loser Christopher O’Connell 7-6 (3), 7-6 (3) at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Tuesday.
Darderi, ranked No 47, will play Serb Miomir Kecmanovic next.
