Alert — Ruud reaches Madrid Masters final
Casper Ruud defeated Francisco Cerundolo 6-4, 7-5 on Friday and will play the winner of the match between Jack Draper and Lorenzo Musetti for the title

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 14 seed, moved into the final of the Madrid Masters by defeating Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 20 seed, 6-4, 7-5 at the Caja Mágica on Friday.
Ruud, ranked No 15, will face the winner of the match between No 5 seed Jack Draper and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 10 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Norwegian won against Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-3, 6-4), American Sebastian Korda, the No 23 seed (6-3, 6-3), American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-4) and Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 9 seed (6-3, 7-5).
Cerundolo, ranked No 21, won against French qualifier Harold Mayot (6-3, 6-4), Francisco Comesana (6-4, 6-4), German Alexander Zverev, the top seed (7-5, 6-3) and No 22 seed Jakub Mensik (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-2) earlier in the tournament.
