Nakashima defeats Alcaraz-slayer Goffin to make last 16 in Miami

American Brandon Nakashima, the No 31 seed, won against Belgian David Goffin 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3 to move into the last 16 of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.
Nakashima, ranked No 32, will play Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 14 seed, next.
The American beat Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Goffin, ranked No 55, won against Australian Aleksandar Vukic (2-6, 6-4, 6-2) and Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the second seed (5-7, 6-4, 6-3).
