Djokovic pulls out of 2024 ATP Finals: “Due to ongoing injury I won’t be playing”
The Serbian won’t defend his title at the season-ending championships this November. He sat sixth in the Race to Turin before the withdrawal

Serbian Novak Djokovic has decided to skip his title defence at the 2024 ATP Finals. Djokovic cited an injury as the cause for his withdrawal from the season-ending championships scheduled for November 10-17.
Djokovic defeated Italian Jannik Sinner (6-3, 6-3) in the previous year’s final to claim the year-end trophy for a record seventh time in his professional career. However, the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy, won’t be seeing the veteran in action this year.
“It’s quite an honor to qualify for the [Nitto ATP Finals] in Turin,” the 24-time Grand Slam champion wrote on Instagram. “I was really looking forward to being there, but due to ongoing injury I won’t be playing next week. Apologies to those who were planning to see me. Wishing all the players a great tournament. See you soon!”
The Serbian accumulated 3,910 points in the past 11 months to sit sixth behind Sinner, Germany’s Alexander Zverev, Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, Russian Daniil Medvedev, and American Taylor Fritz, in the Race To Turin.
