Tsitsipas sets up Djokovic semi-final clash in Paris, sweeps aside Paul

Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 5 seed, beat American Tommy Paul 6-2, 6-4 to reach the last four of Paris Masters at the Accor Arena on Friday evening.

Tsitsipas maintained his 100 per cent record over the American, which now extends to three matches, in which he has not dropped a single set.

And with it, he reached 60 singles win in a year for the first time in his professional career.

Tsitsipas, ranked No 5, will play Serb Novak Djokovic, the No 6 seed, next.

Ahead of his victory, the Greek won against Daniel Evans (6-3, 6-4) and French qualifier Corentin Moutet (6-3, 7-6 (3)).

Paul, ranked No 31, defeated Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut (6-4, 6-4), Spaniard Rafael Nadal, the second seed (3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1) and Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, the No 14 seed (6-4, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Paris Bercy.
