Rublev books spot in Qatar semi-finals on eighth match point after dramatic tiebreak against De Minaur
Andrey Rublev edged out Alex De Minaur 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (8) on Thursday and will face Felix Auger-Aliassime in the next round

Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 5 seed, advanced to the last four of the Qatar Open by edging out Australian Alex de Minaur, the second seed, 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 (8) at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in Doha on Thursday.
He managed to seal the win on his eighth match point after two hours and 37 minutes of a hard-fought encounter.
Rublev, ranked No 10, will play Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime next.
The Russian won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik (6-3, 6-4) and Portuguese Nuno Borges (6-3, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
In the previous rounds of the Doha tournament, De Minaur, ranked No 8, beat Russian Roman Safiullin (6-1, 7-5) and Dutch qualifier Botic van de Zandschulp (6-4, 6-4).
