Serb Laslo Djere advanced to the second round of the Rome Masters by winning against Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-3, 6-2 at the Foro Italico in Rome.

Djere, ranked No 64, will face No 31 seed Alex Michelsen next.
