Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 6 seed, beat Italian Jannik Sinner 5-7, 6-2, 6-2 to win the Rotterdam Open trophy at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Sunday afternoon.
Medvedev, ranked No 11, defeated Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (4-6, 6-2, 6-2), Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp (6-2, 6-2), Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 3 seed (6-2, 6-4) and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov (6-1, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Rotterdam tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Sinner, ranked No 14, defeated Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (6-2, 3-6, 6-1), Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the top seed (6-4, 6-3), Swiss Stan Wawrinka (6-1, 6-3) and Dutch wildcard Tallon Griekspoor (7-5, 7-6 (5)).
