Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp edged out French lucky loser Quentin Halys 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to move into the second round of the Rotterdam Open at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Wednesday afternoon.
Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 35, will play Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 6 seed, next.
