‘s-Hertogenbosch Open: Bergs advances to semi-finals

Belgian Zizou Bergs beat Estonian qualifier Mark Lajal 7-6 (2), 7-6 (4) to advance to the semi-finals of the’s-Hertogenbosch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen on Friday evening.
Bergs, ranked No 63, will face American lucky loser Reilly Opelka next.
The Belgian edged out qualifier Alexander Blockx (6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (3)) and Australian Alexei Popyrin, the No 4 seed (6-7 (3), 6-2, 7-6 (3)) in the previous rounds of the Rosmalen tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Lajal, ranked No 195, won against Serb Laslo Djere (6-2, 6-4) and Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 5 seed (W/O).
