Canadian Gabriel Diallo won against Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 3 seed, 7-6 (6), 6-4 to move into the last 4 of the’s-Hertogenbosch Open at the Autotron Rosmalen on Friday.
Diallo, ranked No 55, will face Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the second seed, next.
The Canadian defeated Australian Aleksandar Vukic (7-5, 7-6 (2)) and edged out Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 6 seed (4-6, 6-1, 7-5) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament, Khachanov, ranked No 24, edged out American qualifier Mackenzie McDonald (6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (4)).
