San Diego Open: Galan books spot in last eight

Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan edged out Spaniard Pedro Martinez, the No 4 seed, 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the San Diego Open at the Barnes Tennis Centre on Thursday evening.
Galan, ranked No 75, will play the winner of the match between No 5 seed Brandon Nakashima and Denis Kudla next.
In the previous round of the San Diego, the Colombian won against Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler (6-3, 7-5).
