Hungarian Fabian Marozsan defeated Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech 7-6 (6), 6-2 to reach the second round of the Shanghai Masters at the Qi Zhong Stadium on Wednesday night.
Marozsan, ranked No 92, will face No 11 seed Alex De Minaur next.
