Stuttgart Open: Draper makes semi-finals

No 6 seed Jack Draper edged out American Frances Tiafoe, the No 4 seed, 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (1) to reach the last four of the Stuttgart Open at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart on Friday.

Draper, ranked No 40, will play American Brandon Nakashima next.

Jack Draper won against Austrian Sebastian Ofner (7-6 (4), 7-6 (5)) and American Marcos Giron (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, Tiafoe, ranked No 28, defeated German Yannick Hanfmann (7-5, 7-6 (5)).
