Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics won against American Taylor Fritz, the second seed, 6-4, 7-5 to move into the last four of the Stuttgart Open at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Friday.
Fucsovics, ranked No 86, will face American Frances Tiafoe, the No 3 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Hungarian edged out Canadian Denis Shapovalov (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) and Chinese Yibing Wu (6-4, 4-6, 6-4).
Fritz, ranked No 8, defeated Russian Aslan Karatsev (7-6 (4), 6-3) in the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament.
