Stuttgart Open: Lehecka makes last eight

No 8 seed Jiri Lehecka advanced to the last eight of the Stuttgart Open by beating German wildcard Jan-Lennard Struff 6-4, 7-5 at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart on Wednesday.

Lehecka, ranked No 33, will play American Ben Shelton, the No 3 seed, next.

Jiri Lehecka won against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (6-4, 6-4) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Stuttgart tournament, Struff, ranked No 103, defeated Italian Matteo Arnaldi (6-4, 6-4).
