Stuttgart Open: Tiafoe edges out Musetti to reach semi-finals

American Frances Tiafoe, the No 3 seed, moved into the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open by defeating Italian Lorenzo Musetti 6-7 (6), 7-6 (4), 6-2 at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Friday.
Tiafoe, ranked No 12, will play the winner of the match between Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics and American Taylor Fritz, the second seed, next.
The American won against Czech Jiri Lehecka (7-6 (2), 6-4) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Musetti, ranked No 17, won against Croat qualifier Borna Gojo (7-6 (4), 6-3) and Frenchman Gregoire Barrere (6-3, 6-3).
