Italian Matteo Arnaldi reached the second round of the Vienna Open by winning against Spanish qualifier Albert Ramos-Vinolas 7-6 (4), 7-6 (2) at the Wiener Stadthalle.

Arnaldi, ranked No 46, will play the winner of the match between Australian Alexei Popyrin and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 3 seed, next.
