Vienna Open: Berrettini falls in quarter-finals

Russian Karen Khachanov moved into the semi-finals of the Vienna Open by winning against Italian Matteo Berrettini 6-1, 6-4 at the Wiener Stadthalle on Friday.
Khachanov, ranked No 24, will play the winner of the match between qualifier Jakub Mensik and Australian Alex De Minaur, the second seed, next.
The Russian defeated Brazilian qualifier Thiago Seyboth Wild (6-2, 6-4) and edged out American Brandon Nakashima (1-6, 6-3, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Berrettini, ranked No 41, beat Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics (7-5, 6-4) and American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed (6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-3).
