Winston-Salem Open: Gasquet will face Fils or Nakashima in the next round

Frenchman Richard Gasquet, the No 12 seed, won against Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler 6-4, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Winston-Salem Open at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Tuesday night.

Gasquet, ranked No 57, will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 7 seed, and American Brandon Nakashima next.

Huesler, ranked No 87, benefited from the abandonment of Russian Alexander Shevchenko (6-3, 4-6, 4-0) in the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament.
