Resurgent Kyle Edmund books spot in second round at Winston-Salem

Kyle Edmund advanced to the second round of the Winston-Salem Open by winning against Greek lucky loser Michail Pervolarakis 6-2, 7-5 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Monday night.

The former world No 14 is 2-1 on the season after making a recent return to the tour. He missed 21 months and underwent three knee surgeries, and recorded his first win on tour since 2022 at the Citi Open earlier this month.
