Alexander Zverev is ready to hit the court in his comeback – and thinks he’s in with a good chance of winning the Diriyah Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia this month.

The German has been out of action since tearing ankle ligaments at Roland-Garros, and his recovery was set back further by an oedema on his foot.

But now he’s ready to return in the exhibition – and when asked why he thought he could win the tournament, he was unequivocal in his response.

“I haven’t played in seven months, and I’m the hungriest out of all of them,” he replied.

He joins a field that includes Daniil Medvedev, Cameron Norrie, and Taylor Fritz, with the three-day exhibition tournament scheduled to begin on Thursday December 8.
