Australian Open: Classy Korda cruises into third round with win over Halys

American Sebastian Korda, the No 29 seed, won against Frenchman Quentin Halys 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the third round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.

Korda, ranked No 26, will play the winner of the match between American Christopher Eubanks and Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 5 seed, next.

In the previous round, the American beat qualifier Vit Kopriva (6-1, 6-4, 2-6, 4-6, 6-2).

Halys, ranked No 110, edged out South African qualifier Lloyd Harris (4-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5, 7-6 (2)) in the first round.
