Australian Open: Fucsovics books spot in third round against Sinner

Hungarian Marton Fucsovics reached the third round of the Australian Open by edging out South African Lloyd Harris 6-2, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 at Melbourne Park on Wednesday night.

Fucsovics, ranked No 78, will play Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 15 seed, next.

Harris, ranked No 186, defeated Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 17 seed (6-4, 6-1, 6-7, 2-6, 7-6 (4)) in the previous round and deprives tennis fans and Italian fans of the expected Sinner – Musetti in this part of the draw.

Ahead of his victory, the Hungarian won against Argentinian Federico Coria (4-6, 7-5, 2-6, 7-6 (6), 6-2).
