French wildcard Arthur Cazaux defeated Dane Holger Rune, the No 8 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 to move into the third round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park.
Cazaux, ranked No 122, will play Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 28 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 21-year-old Frenchman won against Serb Laslo Djere (6-2, 6-7 (3), 6-2, 3-6, 6-2).
Rune, ranked No 8, edged out Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4) in the previous round.
