Rock-solid Zverev ends Fearnley run at Australian Open
Alexander Zverev won against Jacob Fearnley 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday night and will play the winner of the match between No 14 seed Ugo Humbert and No 20 seed Arthur Fils in the next round

German Alexander Zverev, the second seed, defeated Jacob Fearnley 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Friday night.
Zverev, ranked No 2, will play the winner of the match between No 14 seed Ugo Humbert and No 20 seed Arthur Fils next.
The German won against French wildcard Lucas Pouille (6-4, 6-4, 6-4) and Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero (6-1, 6-4, 6-1) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Fearnley, ranked No 92, beat Australian Nick Kyrgios (7-6 (3), 6-3, 7-6 (2)) and Frenchman Arthur Cazaux (3-6, 7-5, 6-2, 6-3).
