Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 21 seed, beat German qualifier Henri Squire 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 to reach the third round of Roland-Garros.
Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 21, will face the winner of the match between American Ben Shelton, the No 15 seed, and Japanese Kei Nishikori next.
In the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2024, the Canadian defeated Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (6-2, 6-4, 6-4).
Squire, ranked No 221, beat Australian Max Purcell (6-2, 6-2, 3-6, 4-6, 7-6 (10)) in the previous round of the Roland-Garros 2024.
