Sinner’s Slam streak continues, dismantles Lehecka to reach fourth round
The world No 1 lost just three games en route to securing a place in the fourth round

Jannik Sinner’s quest for a third Grand Slam in a row continues as he beat Jiri Lehecka 6-0, 6-1, 6-2 to reach the fourth round of Roland-Garros.
He has still not dropped a set so far this tournament, and dropped just nine points on serve throughout this match.
He is the fourth player to win 17 consecutive men’s singles matches at Grand Slams this millennium – joining Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
“I was playing really really well,” Sinner said afterwards. “Especially for two and a half sets, then he was serving very well, very brave. He made some good serve and volleys. But I’m very happy. Simone [Vagnozzi], my coach, had his birthday yesterday, and usually when he has his birthday, I don’t play well. So this win is for him.”
Sinner’s next opponent will be Andrey Rublev, who got a walkover when Arthur FIls withdrew pre-match through injury.
Lehecka was seeking his first fourth round place in Paris as well as his first win over a world No 1.
