The world No 1 Iga Swiatek won her second Roland-Garros title on Saturday, beating Coco Gauff 6-1, 6-3 in just 68 minutes.

It is her 35th match win in a row, and her sixth consecutive tournament triumph – having already won Qatar, Indian Wells, Miami, Stuttgart and Rome.

Swiatek dropped one set over the course of the fortnight, in the fourth round to Qinwen Zheng. In the previous rounds, she beat Lesia Tsurenko, Alison Riske, Danka Kovinic, Zheng, Jessica Pegula, and Daria Kasatkina, followed by Gauff – all for the total loss of 34 games.
