Alexander “The Bublik Enemy” Bublik and Denis “Shapo” Shapovalov are the latest star names to be added to the line-up for UTS New York this summer.
Bublik returns to UTS after playing in Los Angeles last July as well as the London Grand Final. He reached the Final Four in Oslo earlier this year – and currently sits third in the UTS Race Ranking.
Shapovalov – a former world No 10 – makes his UTS debut. With one career ATP title already in the bag, the 25-year-old’s aggressive game is ideal for the UTS format that rewards risk-taking.
The two join a field that already includes Nick “King” Kyrgios, Andrey “Rublo” Rublev, Casper “The Ice Man” Ruud, The Demon Alex de Minaur, and Gael “La Monf” Monfils.
UTS New York takes place at the Forest Hills Stadium – the former venue for the US Open – on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August.
Famous for its thrillingly innovative format and a disruptive set of rules designed to create short, action-packed and sensational matches, UTS returns to the States following its amazing weekend in Los Angeles last year.
