“Djokovic vs Nadal, it’s going to be an epic match” – The French Insider excerpt
In this interview with The French Insider, tennis journalist Sasa Ozmo talks about the stakes involved in the Rafael Nadal-Novak Djokovic final.
Osmo talked with host Jenny Drummond about the important of Sunday’s French Open final between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. It is another all-Big 3 Grand Slam championship match, one that will move either Djokovic or Nadal closer to Roger Federer on the all-time titles list.
In Nadal’s case, he would tie the Swiss at the top with his 13th triumph at Roland-Garros.
“Basically every time these three guys meet we say it’s the biggest match in history — and we are not lying,” Osmo explained. “At the moment, it’s the biggest match in history. Right now it seems so, because if Rafa wins he will catch up with Roger obviously with 20 Grand Slams. If Novak wins, that boosts his GOAT campaign because he would be the first among the three to win all three Grand Slams twice.”
