Wimbledon: Alexandrova brushes aside Galfi to continue fine grass form and move into last 16

Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 21 seed, won against Hungarian Dalma Galfi 6-0, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

Alexandrova, ranked No 22, will play the winner of the match between Russian Anna Blinkova and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, next.

Ahead of her victory, the Russian beat American Emma Navarro (6-4, 6-3) and edged out American Madison Brengle (6-7 (4), 7-6 (5), 7-6 (7)).

Galfi, ranked No 126, won against Linda Noskova (6-7 (6), 6-2, 6-2) and German Jule Niemeier (4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-1) in the previous rounds of The Championships.
