Daniil Medvedev is back into the fourth round of Wimbledon, beating Marton Fucsovics 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 under the roof on Court One.

With this win, the Russian has matched his best finish at Wimbledon, reaching the last 16 for the second time in his career.

Medvedev will have ambitions to go much further this year, and he looked sharp in a confident display against a powerful opponent.

Despite dropping the first set, as the former US Open champion took some time to settle into the match, Medvedev will be happy to come through this match unscathed after his Hungarian opponent put on a typically impressive display of shot-making.

Medvedev, ranked No 3, will play the winner of the match between Jiri Lehecka and American Tommy Paul, the No 16 seed, next.

The Russian won against wildcard Arthur Fery (7-5, 6-4, 6-3) and Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (6-3, 6-3, 7-6 (5)) ahead of his victory.

In the previous rounds of The Championships, Fucsovics, ranked No 67, defeated Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 28 seed (6-4, 6-2, 6-4) and edged out American Marcos Giron (7-6 (2), 6-3, 4-6, 6-4).
