Sabalenka makes Adelaide final – still no sets dropped

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, reached the final of the Adelaide International 1 by beating Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu 6-3, 6-2 at the Memorial Drive Tennis Park on Saturday.
Sabalenka, ranked No 5, will play the winner of the match between Tunisian Ons Jabeur, the top seed, and Czech Linda Noskova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Belarusian won against Russian Liudmila Samsonova (7-6 (8), 7-6 (3)) and Czech Marketa Vondrousova (6-3, 7-5).
Begu, ranked No 34, defeated American qualifier Shelby Rogers (3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-1), Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-0) and Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 4 seed (7-5, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
