Alert – Oeiras Ladies Open: Lamens wins the title

Dutchwoman Suzan Lamens won the Oeiras Ladies Open tournament by edging out Dane Clara Tauson, the No 4 seed, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 on Sunday.
Lamens, ranked No 163, beat Colombian Emiliana Arango (7-5, 6-2), Russian lucky loser Julia Avdeeva (7-5, 6-0), Belarusian Aliona Falei (6-4, 6-1) and French wildcard Kristina Mladenovic (4-6, 6-0, 6-0) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds, Tauson, ranked No 87, defeated Frenchwoman Carole Monnet (6-3, 6-1), Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz (6-3, 6-4), Portuguese wildcard Matilde Jorge (6-1, 6-3) and American Bernarda Pera, the top seed (W/O).
